Hace algún tiempo hemos venido trabajando en diferentes formas de retomar proyectos anteriores por parte de Ubuntu-ClassRoom-Es, despues de varios inconvenientes por parte de los miembros del team nos volvemos a poner a trabajar juntos para la realización de la versión en Español del UbuntuUserDay.

Due to scheduling conflicts this didn’t happen last Open Week, so we’re holding a special standalone event on IRC where people can ask Mark questions.

Ask Mark will take place on Wednesday the 23rd of November at 1500 UTC. To watch the session you’ll need to join #ubuntu-classroom and #ubuntu-classroom-chat on irc.freenode.net, where you will ask questions, which will then get passed onto a bot and onto Mark.

Some tips for asking questions:

• Mark operates at a macro level of the project, so questions like “How do I get Flash to work?” or “Why did you pick this specific version of the kernel to ship in 11.10″ he’s likely to not know the answer to that. So unless you want a “Go ask the person who runs that team” answer try to ask questions about Ubuntu at a higher level than asking about plumbing.
• Make your question count – put some thought into it, plenty of people will be asking good questions, so don’t waste an opportunity by asking something like “Where can I download 11.10?”
• Here are the archives of the past sessions if you want to see what has been asked before if you want an answer.
• It can get chaotic with the amount of people asking questions, so please be patient.

Career Days is the brain child of Cheri Francis who was inspired by her own experiences in tech and studies which continue to show that women lack female role models and exposure to tech career opportunities.

So join us on Saturday, November 12th at 16:00 UTC in #ubuntu-classroom on irc.freenode.net (#ubuntu-classroom-chat for questions).

We will not be accepting questions specifically about Ubuntu, Canonical or other companies she has worked for, this session is strictly about her path and experiences in the tech industry.

These sessions are open to the whole community, you don’t need to be a woman to attend or participate.
