Ubuntu User Days Wrap-up

On February 9-10th we hosted our 7th Ubuntu User Days!

Ubuntu User Days next weekend!

Next weekend, from Saturday at 14:30 UTC to Sunday at 03:00 UTC the Classroom team will be hosting the Ubuntu User Days!

User Days was created to be a set of chat-based classes offered during a two days period to teach the beginning or intermediate Ubuntu user the basics to get them started with Ubuntu. User Days sessions include:

  • how to get help
  • the basics of how to use the command line
  • different ways to install software
  • equivalent programs
  • and much more!

In order for this event to be a success, we need instructors to lead sessions.

To volunteer to lead a session, you can contact a member of the Ubuntu User Days Team by sending an email to myself (lyz at ubuntu.com), the ubuntu-classroom at lists.ubuntu.com mailing list or by contacting us on IRC by stopping by #ubuntu-classroom-backstage on irc.freenode.net.

Another Successful User Days!

From Saturday, the 14th to Sunday, the 15th, the Classroom team hosted User Days for the Oneiric cycle.

Our gratitude to all the instructors who took time out of their weekend to present a session.  Special thanks to Beginners Team members who volunteered to lead sessions.

Finally, thanks to everyone who attended, and everyone who asked questions during the sessions.

We’re happy to report that Sergio Meneses has announced that there will be an Día del Usuario Ubuntu en Español – Ubuntu User Days in Spanish on January 14th!

Hace algún tiempo hemos venido trabajando en diferentes formas de retomar proyectos anteriores por parte de Ubuntu-ClassRoom-Es, despues de varios inconvenientes por parte de los miembros del team nos volvemos a poner a trabajar juntos para la realización de la versión en Español del UbuntuUserDay.
